HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Once upon a time....J/k

I guess you could say I was just born with it. That pull towards all things beautiful, twisted, and thrilling. It's always just been there, like a thirst you can never fully quench. I have always loved to create or be around people creating. It's truly breathtaking to watch something from your imagination come to life! I feel like the luckiest person in the world getting to do this for a living! It has definitely been a long road to finally get here however. I have loved photography since I can remember, but it really grabbed at my soul in high school. It took several years before I would be gifted a nice enough camera to get back into it and a couple more years of doing pictures for friends here and there before I finally decided I should start a business. I had big dreams of making amazing stories with handmade sets and props that would just have me sky rocket to the top of everyone's wish list photographer list. ( is that even a thing?) That was a few years ago now and guess what...It doesn't work that way! LOL. It was a rough start but all in all it has been a lot of fun and I have AMAZING clients! That is my other Photography business though, Rian Taylor Photography.
Yep you heard that right, I have two. Here's why....I pigeonholed the hell out of myself with that business! I took on all the standard jobs and filled my clientele list with beautiful families. That kind of a list doesn't result in a place where you feel free to allow your freak flag fly so to speak, so...BOOM! Lab 13 was born! I am beyond thrilled to be doing this and look forward to all the crazy adventures we are all about to go on!
